Ionpure DC VPCB power controllers are designed specifically to provide DC power to CEDI modules. Ionpure controllers allow for individual power control to each CEDI module. Using this type of power supply gives operators the ability to optimize power consumption and performance for the entire system.
Continuous Electrodeionization (CEDI) technology was first introduced by Ionpure Technologies to the water purification industry in 1987. During that time, we have learned how to apply CEDI modules in the correct applications and developed a list of recommendations to ensure system performance and stable operation. In an electrodeionization system, there are two key components the 1) Module and 2) Power supply.
Module Control
In this scheme, the CEDI modules are treated independently as individual modules. There is one DC power controller for each module and therefore the operator has the ability to be increase/decrease the level of power to each CEDI module.
Advantages
Ability to optimize operation of each module to get the best performance from entire CEDI system. Ability to shut down power to a single CEDI module for service/replacement. Ability to continue CEDI system operation in the event of a single controller failure (if on system control, the entire CEDI system would be shutdown).
